I don’t want to touch on the uber controversial nor sound judgy on this and other subjects that are making noise on mainstream media but rather, my reflection today seeks to ponder on whether we do understand what it means to be created in our Maker’s image and likeness. As I read the first few lines of this chapter, what came to mind was the growing debate on skin bleaching and its causes, Caitlyn Jenner on his/her transgender antics and such. Murder-suicides on account of depression-induced behaviors, alcoholism or general anxiety because heck, we don’t like who we are. Chapter 2 is entitled “You Are Not an Accident”- a particularly relevant header given the perilous times we live in. One of the things I enjoy about reading The Purpose Driven Life is that the author Rick Warren implores you to read just a chapter a day so you can ponder on the message he is sharing.
